Course Reviews Two and a half-hours from Bangkok, lies one of Thailand's premier courses - the Jack Nicklaus designed 18-hole Springfield Country Club of Cha-am. Opened in 1993, this intriguing course will provide a challenge for golfers of all standards as they thread their way through well-placed hazards to greens of the highest standard. Accuracy is required at all times as the fairways are flanked by a series of hillocks and covered by a forest of small trees.

I had the opportunity to play this course a few years back and I would consider it a must play in Thailand.  From the time you walk into the clubhouse to the time you put your clubs back in the van, you always feel comfortable at the Springfield Royal Golf Club. Pretentious it is not, yet the service and the superior surroundings suggest a "royal" experience.

I recommend playing Springfield Royal Golf and Country club on your next Thailand golf tour.
