Historical Must Play....................
Fairways wonderful, Greens fantastic but tricky and usually very fast, Rough don't go there. This is a classic course with echoes of the past glory of the 1957 Rider Cup. A wonderful track suited to the single figure golfer. With the upmost respect if you play to a handicap of over 12 then go elsewhere. Club Pro and Pro shop excellent and helpful. Club House elegant and tasteful, embracing the 1950's & 60's. But sadly that's where it ends.
You will go a long way to find a more unfriendly Golf Club as Lindrick. The membership consists mainly of Golfers who are unable to play their own course, and the ones who can are arrogant.
In truth they don't need visitors or societies as the club seems to be amply sustained by membership and trust monies. There are time restrictions for visitors which can be interrupted by members if they choose to do so. The Social facilities are also restricted and enforced by the members with great delight. This is not so much a Golf Club as a private members club. Sadly its worth the hassle to play on such a wonderful track just bite your lip.
