Course Reviews
A good length, expansive course with wide fairways and
generous greens. A fair array of bunkers in challenging positions and some streams mid-fairway. Very demanding in bad weather due to hills and wind.
Overall a good course.

Rother Valley offers an array of different holes. Every hole is different unlike some courses. The course also offers some nice views overlooking the Rother Valley Country Park and the south west Sheffield area.
This is a challenging course for even a low handycapped player, especially off the white tee's. Highlights are a tough par 4 3rd hole (uphill dogleg), the par 3 island hole (7th), followed by a long par four (8th). On the back nine there's another long par four(16th), followed by 'The Monster' 18th hole, which usually involved a challenging second stoke over water, but be careful of the craftly placed bunkers and water to the left of the green. Nice course, but can be very wet underfoot in winter. Jon Middleton February 22, 2005
Played this Course on 9th of November after heavy rain previous night. Course played remarkably well considering deluge it had received. Good long Course, well layed out, V enjoyable day. V friendly staff & fellow golfers. Just two negatives !! It would help a lot to know where next hole is ! And to be sign posted to it. Secondly the 7th hole, Island green is a bit of a nonentity when played off winter tees which reduce it to a pitch & put. Will definitely be back soon to play it again. Nice one Jack Barker, nice course Mark Roe. Harry Bird November 9, 2005
