Played it for the third time yesterday and it is excellent
value for money. All greens and tees are open and trolleys are still permitted. As it is essentially three nine hole courses you have the added interest of not knowing which eighteen you are playing until you arrive. I am only a begginner but I can recommend this course. Played the course on a number of occasions with
2 for 1 vouchers. Course is always in the best condition it can be for the weather conditions. Holes are both varied and challenging. Top notch course with 27 holes and excellent value for money. Duncan Roy January 20, 2005
Had an excellent days golf in very picturesque surroundings. As a first timer on this course I felt that the directions left something to be desired but otherwise great value for money.[:)]

This 27 hole layout has recently been bought by DeVere from Leeds City Council. It can be a challenge and it can also 'give you a chance' to make a good score. DeVere are updating the course as I type, and intend to spend £5 million on the 3 loops of nine wonderful holes. I love it already, even before the update. I have played it some 100 times... as has my lady wife. Well recommended. P. Foster January 9, 2006
A good course which is always well kept, but the value-for-money tag has now gone with the recent De Vere takeover - the cost of a round has almost doubled.

Good course although played on a relatively windy day.
The pace of play was really slow. At one hole we had a 20 minute wait due to the nature of the 27 hole design and the mix of people playing the same holes.
Took well over 5 hours.

I counted in excess of 20 severe pitch marks on the first green, having already negotiated the countless patches of soil where some lush green grass once sat prior to people hacking the ground up.
Only found two ball cleaners, one of which was absent of water. Very few yard markers, lack of guidance to next tee ground (mud bath). Continued course devastation caused obviously by hotel guests just slashing the place to bits.
Nearly had my head removed by a wayward shot by someone who clearly can only count to three because otherwise he'd have shouted proudly, "fore".
On every other track I've played there has always, and I mean always, been ground staff performing some golf course upkeep tasks. Not one here, and when it was being used by a high number of people, this seems ridiculously poorly managed.
To those responsible for course presentation I urge you all, remember that it's a false economy to cut corners like Bubba Watson because I won't be back. I even considered asking for my green fees back. The only reason I didn't was that my alternative to being here was decorating my lounge.
So, no positives? Yeah ok, there was an abundance of sunshine, and the sign that read "exit" was clearly visible.
