Clatterbridge Cancer Research raising funds at Caldy Golf Club
Golfers are encouraged to round up friends, family and colleagues to form teams of four. Entry costs £360 per team, which works out at £90 per person and includes lunch and a celebratory prize-giving dinner. Caldy Golf Club is situated on the estuary of the river Dee and the course straddles the Wirral Way. It enjoys breathtaking views of the North Wales mountains and a rural outlook to farmland and dales to the South, and is a former venue of the Seniors' Championship. This year players will also have the chance to win a spectacular golfing holiday in Andalucía, Spain, which has been kindly donated by Andalucía Marketing UK Ltd. A charity raffle will be held to round the event off. Non-playing guests are also welcome to attend this event for £25 a ticket. The charity needs in excess of £2 million each year to sustain its current work – that’s £5,500 each day to support its team of scientists, clinical trials nurses and equipment such as a gene reader.
