Saadiyat Beach brings fine dining to après-golf in Abu Dhabi
June 8, 2010

The magnificent Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, designed by golf legend Gary Player and the Arabian Gulf’s first and only beachfront course, is aiming for a gastronomic ‘hole-in-one’ with the launch of the Hawksbill Restaurant – the UAE’s latest top-class dining experience.

The Hawksbill Restaurant is named after the protected turtle that hatches its eggs in the warm sands of Saadiyat Island's beaches, and is set to provide a a refreshing and delicious alternative to most other post-game venues, which content themselves with serving a quick bite and a cool beverage.

Situated in the intimate Academy Building, the restaurant has comfortable indoor seating and a sweeping terrace overlooking the spectacular contours of the golf course and its 120-yard wide floodlight instruction area. and boasts a menu to suit all occasions.

“We really wanted to make a family friendly restaurant that had its own identity. The restaurant provides a relaxing homely environment where the service is friendly yet unobtrusive, the decor warm and inviting, and the food is designed to please golfers and non-golfers alike with a wide range of mouth-watering dishes,” said John Gunn, Director of Food & Beverage, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.

“With service that is genuine and personal, in an impeccably chic and ambient setting, the Hawksbill Restaurant serves up the perfect way to relax after a day on the course, or for those just looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of city-life,” continued Gunn.
