Clark and Allenby notch up another one-two for Srixon Z-Star
Playing the last 26 holes without a bogey, his final rounds of 66-67 represented a record 36 hole comeback on the Stadium Course. His nearest rival and fellow Srixon Z-Star golf ball player Robert Allenby had his chances to level the scores but narrowly missed an eagle opportunity at 16 and his birdie putt at 17 slipped away, giving Clark his first USPGA title in 204 events and 12 years of trying. Clark said afterwards "I did all I could out there, it was as good as I could have played". The victory moves Clark up 20 places in the world rankings to 20th, whilst Robert Allenby's second place boosts him to 12th - an all time career high ranking. It also brings to 18 the total number of wins for the Srixon Z-Star so far on tours around the world in 2010. The Players Championship was the second Srixon one-two on the PGA Tour this year, following Jim Furyk's win at the Verizon Heritage with England's Brian Davis as runner-up three weeks ago. It also comes just a week after Ryo Ishikawa fired the first round of 58 on a major professional golf tour using the Srizon Z-Star ball.
