KLM Open Champion putts to victory with Rife
September 12, 2011

Only a few weeks after rolling his Rife Barbados to 1st place in the Irish Open, Rife helped sink the winning putt in the KLM Open to consolidate the winner’s top ten place in the Race to Dubai and moving him to just outside the top 30 in the world.

Sharing the lead over night, the winner (Simon Dyson - Ed.) finally made a break with 4 birdies in the final 5 holes for a final round 66. His one shot win places him alongside Seve Ballesteros and Bernhard Langer as the only players to have ever won this event three times.

The Rife Barbados putterThe winner is one of the longest standing users of Rife on Tour, with his Rife Barbados helping him to this, his 6th European Tour victory and the €300,000 winners cheque.

Just another example of the fact that despite not paying a single player to use its products, the pro’s keep on turning to Rife Putters to deliver a quick true roll when the pressure is on.

About Rife

The secret to the company’s success lies in its various patented technologies including RollGrove™, the LieAline Custom Fitting System and a 4-point adjustable weighting system.

Rife Putters LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology, which has been patented by the company as RollGrove™ since 1997. Precisely spaced milled grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll to create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.

The LieAline™ Fitting System teaches players to automatically set-up to every putt in the same, natural set-up position. Using a very subtle vertical notch located on the back edge of the top line players can automatically tell whether the putter is set-up to suit their putting stroke. If the player can see the entire white sight line then the putter is set-up perfectly, if not then you use the LieAline Bending tool to bend the hosel into the ideal position for you. Once this has been done the player can benefit from a more consistent and repeatable stroke path every time by using the sight line.

Adjustable Weighting allows players to apply different weight configurations to match speed of the greens. It also increases stability and accuracy on off centre. The 4 point stability weighting system, as seen in the putters using Two Bar technology, has stainless steel weight inserts in the heel and toe. The additional rear weighting means the putter’s centre of mass is still driving through the ball as the putter face makes contact with the ball. By dispersing weight to the four furthest points of the putter you have an extra large sweet spot, which provides your overall stroke with more stability and the face remains squarer through impact.
