Cabrera-Bello claims first Euro win for FJ Performance Apparel

FootJoy has continued its remarkable 100% winning streak on the European Tour in 2012, as The Dubai Desert Classic title was clinched by FootJoy brand ambassador Rafael Cabrera-Bello, sporting the brand new 2012 FJ Performance Apparel Collection.

The 27 year old fired a bogey-free 68 to seal a one-shot victory over fellow FootJoy player and Lee Westwood, to secure the second European Tour title of his career. Cabrera-Bello and Westwood led home a group of five out of the top eight players wearing FootJoy shoes and gloves at The Emirates Golf Club.

Cabrera-Bello’s superb performance was the first win on the European Tour for the FJ Performance Apparel Collection. The young Spaniard also wore the FJ ICON, FootJoy’s flagship shoe, and the FJ RainGrip Glove, which performs particularly well in the hot and humid conditions that were experienced in Dubai.

The high quality leaderboard featured a host of FootJoy players including Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy, George Coetzee and Marcel Siem, as 57% of the field wore FootJoy shoes, compared to just 17% for the nearest competitor.
