Donald, Scott and Stenson fly winning flag for FootJoy
November 20, 2012

FootJoy has claimed another triple win weekend, securing significant victories on three different Continents. Henrik Stenson ended a five year wait for a European Tour title by capturing the prestigious South African Open Championship at the Serengeti Golf & Wildlife Estate. In Japan Luke Donald moved back to World No. 2 following an impressive victory at the Dunlop Phoenix Open, while Adam Scott claimed the Australian Masters at the iconic Kingston Heath Golf Club.

Looking to secure his place in the coveted end-of-season DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, Stenson made the long trip to South Africa from his home in the United States knowing he needed a good performance to remain in the Top 60. That added pressure and a spirited final-round charge from George Coetzee who was looking to capture his national title certainly appeared to draw the best out of the former Ryder Cup star. Wearing the FJ ICON shoe and the Pure Touch glove, Stenson produced some clutch birdies over the closing stretch, eventually finishing on 17 under par for a three shot victory.

Wearing FJ ICON golf shoes, Luke Donald was in imperious form all week in Japan as he stamped his authority on the field at the Dunlop Phoenix Open. A closing round of 68 ensured he finished the week on 16 under par to record his first win since the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. This victory also moved the Englishman back up to no. 2 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

In Melbourne, Adam Scott produced a stunning final-round display of shot making and laser-like putting to capture his first Australian Masters golden jacket, wearing the FJ Sport golf shoe and StaSof glove. The world no. 5 began the final round with intent, reeling off five birdies on the front nine, eventually shooting a 5 under par round of 67 for a four-shot victory over the chasing pack.
