Richie Ramsay rides out the storm in Under Armour
September 3, 2012

Richie Ramsay battled the elements with the help of Under Armour at the Omega European Masters last week to claim a stylish 4-shot victory over Australian Marcus Fraser.

In a week that saw the players face wind, rain and snow in the Swiss Alps at Crans-Sur-Sierre, Ramsay utilised the full range of products in the new Under Armour Storm collection as he won the second European Tour title of his career.

Richie’s armour for the week included the Storm 2.0 1/4 Zip Jacket, Storm 2.0 Pant and Evo Coldgear Compression mock, as he and other golfers battled to stay warm on the course.

In the first few rounds the conditions were so bad that Ramsay may have felt as though he was back home playing in his native Scotland as he fired a round of 66 on Saturday to put himself at the top of the leaderboard. A near faultless final round saw Ramsay cruise home for victory as the sun finally broke out for the first time in the week.

Ramsay said: “The conditions the first few days made it difficult for everyone but I feel like Under Armour equipped me with all the right tools to keep my performance levels up even in such terrible conditions.

“It’s an incredible place to play golf, so to win here is very special. You can get caught up looking at the scenery, but I knew I had a job to do here today. I’m delighted to have won the Omega European Masters.”
