January 10, 2013

Ishikawa will be a full Callaway staff professional and play the company’s cutting-edge equipment, including the new RAZR Fit Xtreme Driver and the Odyssey putters he has relied on throughout his career. In addition Ishikawa, a native of Saitama, Japan, will wear Callaway-branded apparel, caps, gloves and footwear. Terms of the contract will not be disclosed.

"I am very happy to join the Callaway team," said Ryo Ishikawa. "I believe the wonderful innovation and support Callaway gives to its many great staff players with help me grow as I compete on the PGA Tour this year."

Ryo Ishikawa and his new Callaway equipment

In May of 2007, when Ishikawa was just 15 years and eight months old, he became the youngest golfer to win a men's tournament on the Japan Golf Tour, claiming the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup. In September of that year, Ishikawa became the youngest golfer to ever reach the top 50 on the Official World Golf Rankings.

Ryo's Callaway bag will include:
• Razr Fit Extreme Driver 9.5° with Graphite Design Tour AD BB shaft
