Five Tour clean sweep weekend for Titleist Pro V1

Titleist enjoyed success around the world this weekend, headlined by Brand Ambassador John Merrick's maiden win on the PGA Tour at the Northern Trust Open. Merrick played Titleist from tee-to-green, using the new 2013 Pro V1x golf ball, 913D2 driver, 913F fairway metal, 913H hybrid, MB irons, Vokey Design SM4 sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron putter. Eight Titleist golf ball players were among the 12 players who finished in the top-10 and ties, and the Pro V1 franchise was also the choice of the field, with 92 players compared to 19 for the nearest competitor. Titleist also led the field in the wedge and putter categories respectively.

On the European Tour, Darren Fichardt played the 2013 Pro V1x to seal victory at the Africa Open for his fourth career European Tour title and continue a run of success for Titleist players on the European Tour, where the Titleist ball has been victorious at five of the last six tournaments.

Jiyai Shin became the first LPGA Tour player to win with the new 2013 Pro V1 golf ball, closing with a one-under par 72 to capture the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, the eleventh LPGA Tour title of her career.

On the Champions Tour, Bernhard Langer won the ACE Group Classic playing the Pro V1 to capture his 17th career Champions Tour title.

Last but not least, on the Australasian Tour, Titleist Brand Ambassador Brad Kennedy used the Pro V1x to capture the Queensland PGA Championship. Kennedy’s third PGA Tour of Australia victory saw him top a leaderboard where eight of the top 11 played Titleist golf balls.
