If it's JAM, it's genuine!

Pssst. Want to buy some cheap clubs? It’s never been easier. A simple search on the internet will lead you to manufacturers of fake clubs, should you be so inclined. Most golfers aren't, however. Golf is a serious matter, and they want the best, hi-tech equipment, but naturally they want it at the best possible price.

The result is a proliferation of counterfeiting - most of it coming out of China - that today affects all the major brands, with online sales through internet auction sites being the worst affected. Studies of these sites have shown that up to 80% of the clubs on offer can be fakes.

Now however, a specialist company, JamGolf, has decided to tackle this problem head on.

What is JamGolf?
JamGolf was launched in 2008 as an alternative online marketplace for golf clubs and other golf equipment with one main difference. All products sold on JamGolf are GUARANTEED to be 100% genuine.

How?
All of the golf retailers on JamGolf are Pro shops and authorised stockists of golf products and have been pre-vetted both by them and the golf equipment manufacturers.

Matt GrovesThe Golf Industry is under attack from people selling counterfeit products which, although they may look similar to the original product, have no similarity to the performance of the original, and can even be dangerous, apart from their absolute illegality. These products are produced and sold for $25-$50 per driver and then re-sold for £150-£200. Traditionally, these golf clubs and other golf equipment have been sold using online auctions sites such as eBay. So be warned: if the deal looks too good to be true, it probably is!

Some pro shops, golf club retailers and authorised golf equipment stockists have used these sites as a way of legitimately clearing their genuine excess stock - often at a loss - to make room for new models in their shops. But as a customer you have no way of knowing if the products are genuine or counterfeit - until it's too late.

Now JamGolf is the golf industry’s way of fighting back, allowing golf pros a marketplace to clear their excess stock and allowing customers the opportunity to buy genuine golf equipment at discounted prices. If it’s Jam its Genuine!

How does it work?

Buying guaranteed genuine golf equipment from JamGolf couldn't be simpler. Delivery is fast; your goods are picked up the day after you order, dispatched by courier and delivered to you the next working day between 9.00am and 6.00pm.

How JamGolf works

For security reasons, all goods delivered must be signed for. If no-one is available to sign when the courier calls, you will be contacted by the courier for another delivery date. This is why you are asked for a telephone number when ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Golf clubs are vastly overpriced. We all know the manufacturers themselves have the genuine item made in China with cheap labour, and make a fortune out of the amateur golfer. Why should I worry if I'm getting a good deal?
The production of fakes is in the hands of organised crime, and is sweeping the world. When you buy any fake product you are supporting an industry that also makes fake medicine and fake infant milk powder, which causes death around the world. Often you will also be supporting the use of child labour. These facts are not well enough known and in many cases buyers don't care that the items they are buying are counterfeit, and some fakes are actively searched for, such as DVDs, handbags and watches.
Fake golf clubs, however, pose a different problem. They will affect your game, because although they look the part, they contain none of the technology or sophisticated materials that the genuine manufacturers spend millons developing. They may also be dangerous to you or those around you (badly glued clubheads sometimes fly off, or shafts snap and can impale you or a fellow golfer). And they will have no residual value. So if you want to trade your clubs in one day, you'll get nothing. The illegal fake trade is cheating everybody.

I've seen an item I like on your website. Can I inspect the goods before buying?
If you live near the shop which is selling your product of choice, you can of course go there and see the goods. When you choose a product online you will be able to see which shop has that particular item, and you will also find a complete list of JamGolf authorised retailers around the country by clicking here. You should however bear in mind if you decide to go in person, that the item may heve been sold online between the time you found it and your visit, and JamGolf cannot guarantee that an identical club at the same price will be available.

I bought a driver on your site two weeks ago and I've just seen exactly the same club for less than I paid. Can I get a refund?
No. JamGolf acts only as a venue which allows registered users to offer, sell, or buy only genuine golf clubs, golf shoes, golf bags and other golf apparel, at any time, from anywhere, in a variety of price formats. Each participating seller is free to set his or her own price for any item according to stock levels and other prevailing circumstances pariticular to the seller. When browsing on the JamGolf website, you can set a range of prices you are prepared to pay for an itme, and then choose the cheapest from all the products on offer. Prices will however vary over time and from one retailer to another.
