The Callaway uPro GPS unitThe Callaway uPro GPS
July 2010

We first raved about the stunning visuals of this GPS unit when seeing a prototype at the 2009 Orlando Show. At least, UK golfers can now enjoy the only system that uses actual hi-resolution aerial photography of golf courses clearly to define hazards, yardages and hole layouts.

The £299 unit works in two modes: ProMode (requiring a package starting at 66p per course) offers distances from any point on the course, as well as Virtual Green View - special images of greens and surrounds with all the necessary distances.

Meanwhile, BasicMode is a free service limited to the essential distances to hazards and greens. More aesthetically pleasing than many rival systems, the uPro scored an award recently in the US Popular Science magazine. RRP £299.
