April 30, 2010
Nike Golf’s new hi-tech, hi-fashion Spring/Summer Border apparel range is now available from golf specialty stores.
|
Designed for performance and comfort, the latest Border Collection from Nike uses the finest materials and state of the art technology to fashion garments that provide exceptional on-course performance. The 2010 collection also features the hottest athletic design trends and colours to keep you looking cool and feeling fresh on the fairways this summer.

| The Nike Dri-FIT No Sew Polo |
Among nine styles of polo shirt for this season, one of the outstanding pieces in the 2010 Border range is the DRI-FIT No Sew Polo, which features strategically-placed seams joined together without stitching to reduce bulk, for less chafing and more comfort. The No Sew polo also uses Nike’s proprietary DRI-FIT breathable fabric technology, that wicks moisture away from the skin, regulating your body temperature to ensure comfort at all times.
Worn by stylish four time European Tour winner Simon Dyson, the Border Collection will appeal to golfers who like clothes that offer a blend of trend and function. High performance materials such as Spandex and Polyester help to produce garments that fit the contours of the body.
Nike Golf’s DRI-FIT Body Mapping concept, first launched in 2005, has evolved with two new polos for 2010, the BodyMap 1 & 2, both of which feature strategically placed ventilation zones to increase breathability and improve airflow across the body to help you stay dry and comfortable.

- DRI-FIT Movement Polo |
A lot of golfers still enjoy the feel of cotton and many of the Border Collection’s pieces feature cotton/polyester mixes, which provide the soft feel of cotton with the performance-enhancing moisture management qualities of Polyester. The new Imperial Pique Polo, All Embroidered Polo and YD Stripe Polo and DRI-FIT Movement Polo are all made with at least 60% cotton, of which 5% is organic. All the shirts are also machine washable, with the polyester element ensuring that they retain their 'fresh from the packet' shape and colour even after extended use.
This season's colour palette offers of choice of timeless classics and attention-seeking shades, with black and white matched against bright orange, green, blues and mulberry.

| The Nike Patterned Round Sweat |
Stylish knitwear should play a role in any golfer's wardrobe and the Border Collection has two contemporary offerings this season in the shape of the Patterned Round Sweat and the Border CoolMax Cardigan, both of which use Nike Golf’s CoolMax fibre-based moisture management system. CoolMax moves perspiration away from the body, and through the fabric, where it can evaporate quickly, allowing the wearer to feel cooler and more comfortable. Both items look great worn on or off the course, with the cardigan available in black or an eye-catching green with black trim. A slim fit, with five front buttons and superb detailing make for a stunning addition to any outfit this summer.
