ProQuip create 'easy care' and water-repellent knitwear range
March 2, 2010

ProQuip is introducing a new knitwear range made of high quality, water-repellent lambswool that is as easy to wash and dry as it is to swing in.

The special water-repellent finish results in light rain beading off the surface, and the new range is believed to be the first to be manufactured using 100% premium quality British lambswool that is also entirely 'easy care'.

The 2/17Nm lambswool (Nm = New metric: two pieces of fine quality yarn twisted together) produces a premium handling garment that is highly durable with minimal piling. The 'easy care' performance makes it machine washable and tumble dryer friendly - in fact, tumble drying and a warm press after washing positively enhance the garment’s water-repellency.

The new knitwear range is available in crew-neck, vee-neck and slipover styles in nine colours: Black, Bordeaux, Tartan Green, Mushroom, Navy, Sky Blue, Grey Mix, Lilac and Raspberry. They come in sizes S-XXL, with a suggested retail price of: £49 for the crew-neck and vee-neck, and £46 for the slipover.

"While water-repellent lambswool garments have previously been available for a variety of outdoor sports and pursuits, this is the first time such a high quality yarn and knit has been produced with total easy care," said Richard Head, ProQuip Managing Director.

"You can conveniently machine wash and tumble dry this garment safe in the knowledge that it will come out looking and feeling as good as new – it will also continue to perform and resist rain showers, keeping you dry and comfortable."

ProQuip also offer golf retailers a full club cresting facility.
