Cold- and wet-busting: Sunderland's lightweight Bonded Fleece The latest range of playable Coldwear from Sunderland – designed specifically to cope with uncomfortable on-course conditions – includes the outstanding Bonded Fleece. Available in stylish Men’s and Ladies’, the Sunderland Bonded Fleece is made from a lightweight, breathable fabric that includes a three-layer interlocking fleece to keep you warm and dry. The three layers combine to offer year-round weather beating: the polyester knit interlock offers excellent water repellency; the PU film prevents water penetration and ensures breathability; while the fleece lining offers warmth and moisture-wicking properties. The result is versatile bad weather outerwear that performs to the highest standards, yet retains a contemporary look.
Attention to detail and high-quality finishing touches include YKK-zipped hand pockets and a YKK front zip with storm flap and eye-catching contrast colour stitching, side panels and collar linings. Says Sunderland marketing director, Brian Mair: “Many golfers find themselves in situations when knitwear does not quite offer enough protection from the weather and a full waterproof jacket is too much, or too bulky. The Sunderland Men’s Bonded Fleece (RRP £78) is available in sizes S-XXXL and three colours – Black/Love (red), Black/Reward (royal blue) and Graphite/Reward. The Sunderland Ladies Bonded Fleece (RRP £78) is available in sizes XS-XL and three colours – Black/Cerise, Black/Green and Black/Black. Sunderland's 2010 collection includes classic and contemporary designs and high performance fabrics, from Thermal13 introduced in the Tournament rainwear, to the Teflon water repellent fabric in the company's windwear range. Revolutionary Cocona fabric, used in Sunderland’s UV shirt collection, absorbs harmful UVA and UVB radiation and gives golfers added protection and security in the sun. The result is a range of weatherwear unrivalled in terms of performance and playability - ensuring that Sunderland are ‘never weather beaten’.
