A new vision - Performance Eyewear from Under Armour

A new line of Performance Eyewear from Under Armour promises to give golfers superior vision, strength and comfort on the golf course.

Featuring APVX lens technology, the Eyewear provides a broader field of vision with up to 20% more clarity in the periphery and enhances the total field of vision when lining up a shot off the tee or on the green. The military-inspired lens is also up to 10 times stronger than a typical polycarbonate lens, able to withstand violent impact and keep your eyes safe.

Under Armour Performance Eyewear is available in three lens options: Polarised, UA Multiflection and Photochromic, with all three lenses blocking 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC rays:
• The Polarised lens is ideal for golfers playing on a sunny day as it is designed to help reduce glare in bright light and give the golfer true colour recognition;
• The UA Multiflection has been engineered to eliminate staining and smudges, is scratch-resistant, water-repellant, and easy to clean;
• The Photochromic lens adapts automatically to changing light conditions, ideal for playing golf on a day when the sun goes in and out.

Lens colours range from gray to brown to “Game Day”. Gray lenses offer true colour recognition in bright sunlight while Brown lenses are engineered to optimize depth perception. Game Day lenses are ideal for golf: it balances target and background brightness to optimize the contrast of a moving object on its background, making it easier to pick out the pin against a cluttered background and follow the ball in flight.

Under Armour incorporates technology into the eyewear frames as well. A combination of the very strong Titanium metal and a durable thermoplastic, Grilamid, result in the patented ArmourFusion frames, ultra-lightweight and impact-resistant, these frames stretch to provide a custom fit but also recover from bending and impact. A unique Fit System provides ultimate comfort through an anti-bounce bridge with three-point grip, and traction that improves when exposed to moisture.
