Under Armour helps golfers stay safe in the sun
June 24, 2010

We all know the dangers of it, but how many of us take proper precautions against the sun? With a UPF rating of 30+ for all Under Armour garments, golfers can enjoy playing in the sunshine safe in the knowledge that their skin is being protected from the harmful rays.

But don't forget to slap the sunblock on the bits that remain exposed!

The sun is finally shining and hot days are expected, so golfers are being warned to protect themselves against the harmful effects of the sun’s rays on the course. Huge damage can be done in the course of four to five hour round, even when a veil of cloud appears to mask the sun.

The Under Armour Performance Polo ShirtUnder Armour has tackled the issue of sun protection by ensuring all their products offer the athlete sun protection of UPF 30+.

In warmer temperatures, golfers will appreciate Under Armour’s range of polo shirts (see right), all made of lightweight fabrics ranging in weight from 3.9oz to 5.9oz across the seven-style line.

Better still, in addition to sun protection and lightweight fabrics, all Under Armour polo shirts feature moisture wicking properties that keep golfers cool, dry and comfortable throughout the round.

An anti-pick and anti-pill finish gives the polo shirts long lasting durability, and fabrics are treated with antimicrobial agents to prevent the growth of odour-causing bacteria.
