Crown Golf has The Extra 20 Yards®
January 19, 2011

A budding partnership is developing between one of the best established names in golf and one of the newest. Crown Golf, Europe’s largest golf club owner and operator, recently took delivery of The Extra 20 Yards at its golf academy at Pine Ridge Golf Centre in Surrey and the professionals that have been working with it are delighted with the results.

The Extra 20 Yards is a unique piece of strength training equipment designed to specifically target the core muscles involved in the golf swing and has proven to be a great success since its launch in August. With an impressive roll call of supporters that includes top UK coaches, fitness experts and Tour players it was a natural progression to work with one of the top names in golf academies, Crown Golf.

Having agreed to a trial of The Extra 20 Yards in October, the team of PGA professionals at Pine Ridge were keen to see how The Extra 20 Yards could add value to their lessons and become an integral part of the training program they devise for their pupils.

From the moment the machine was installed PGA Advanced Professional Greg Brodie could see how The Extra 20 Yards would work in tandem with his lessons and after 2 months of using the machine he was still as impressed. Greg commented, “I have used the product a great deal with my lessons. The feedback genuinely has been great. I find it teaches the players the feelings that they should have regarding a correct downswing sequence. Truly a fantastic teaching tool. To teach the correct kinematic sequence can be tough for a pro. This makes life very simple.”

The Extra 20 Yards

Following the success of the trial at Pine Ridge, The Extra 20 Yards is now looking to develop the partnership with Crown Golf and is exploring ways in which this unique product can be rolled out across Crowns Golf’s U.K. academies.

This type of feedback on The Extra 20 Yards testifies to the benefit of the machine as both a teaching aid for pro’s, as well as an individual training tool that builds core strength and the correct sequence of the golf swing. When that feedback comes from as respected a source as a Crown Golf Academy, it further re-inforces the fact that The Extra 20 Yards is the stand-out product in the golf fitness sector.

The Extra 20 Yards is a patented product, made by a leading manufacturer of gym equipment. Retailing at just £219 (plus VAT and P&P), it offers tremendous value. Less expensive than a gym membership or a premium driver and tailored specifically to the golf swing, if you are thinking of investing in extra distance, it will help you to find the The Extra 20 Yards you already have in you.

Suggested retail price £229/€275 (plus tax and P&P). For further information visit www.extra-yards.com
