HIRZL Takes a 'Hands-On' Approach with Anna Nordqvist
August 4, 2011

Heartfelt congratulations to HIRZL Staff Player Anna Nordqvist on achieving her best Major finish of the year at the Ricoh British Women's Open last weekend at Carnoustie. Anna showed a new confidence and consistency that saw her breaking par in every round over the four days (70, 71, 69, 70).

A couple of HIRZL team members spent part of the week with Anna (Tuesday ProAm and Wednesday practice round) and were able to get some firsthand feedback from her about her golf and the strategic use of the gloves in her game.

Early and midweek at Carnoustie saw changeable weather and Anna's SOFFFT Flex Cabretta glove have her a consistency of touch and feedback on the club grips. She had HIRZL Trust gloves in the bag, just in case the weather turned wet and windy, so that her grip would remain true.

Although mild in comparison with usual Scottish links weather (cold, wet and windy) the four days of competition saw relatively mild conditions - thus explaining the winning score of -16. Anna's HIRZL glove helped her move up to 28 in the Rolex World Rankings.  "My HIRZL gloves give me a tremendous amount of confidence when I play," said Anna Nordqvist.  "No matter what the conditions are, I know that I can always count on a secure grip, with plenty of feel.  HIRZL gloves are a valuable piece of my golf equipment."
