New Adams Speedline drivers offer a wealth of improvements
The Speedline Fast 12 Driver Adams say this is the fastest, longest and most forgiving Speedline driver they have ever developed. Incorporating a new Airfoil Design has enabled the use of a 460cc head with 14% less drag, giving an increase of up to 3 mph in club head speed, while at the same time allowing an almost 10% increase in forgiveness.
Adams Golf led the industry into the aerodynamic revolution with the original Speedline in 2009 and continue to make refinements for better airflow attachment. The Airfoil Design of the Fast 12 driver incorporates crown elements such as the trip steps seen in its predecessor, the Fast 11, along with new design elements on the sole and skirt of the club that provide maximum aerodynamic benefits throughout the entire swing path. The result is 14% less drag and up to 3 mph more club head speed. The Airfoil design in the new Fast 12 driver provides forgiveness never seen before in a aerodynamically designed driver, with an increase of nearly 10%. It has the MOI equivalent of the square drivers of the past, which were extremely forgiving, but had such high drag that they slowed down swing speeds, with loss of distance. In addition to its technical enhancements, the Fast 12 features a satin silver crown color to inspire confidence at address.
Loft options for the standard version are 8.5°, 9.5° and 10.5° in right-handed, and 9.5° and 10.5° for left-handed. The Speedline Fast 12 Draw Driver will be offered in 10.5° in right-handed, while the Women’s Speedline Fast 12 Driver wil come in 12° and HL in right-handed. The Speedline Fast 12 Driver comes as standard with the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue shaft, featuring Speed Coat Technology, and will be available in stores from March 1 at a MRRP of £249. The Speedline Fast 12 LS Driver
“In the Speedline Fast 12 LS, we developed a low spinning, adjustable and aerodynamic driver that appeals to the better player,” said Justin Honea, Director of Product Development for Adams Golf. “Combining all of the performance characteristics with adjustability was the best way to do this. Giving players the option of changing lengths as well as loft and lie gives us a competitive advantage over the rest of the industry.” The Fast 12 LS' extensive adjustability comes via a very discreet hosel design. Golfers can adjust loft and face angle, lie, and length: A removable weight in the back of the club head allows the golfer to lighten the club when it is lengthened in order to maintain the same swingweight. Adding a half inch in length provides increased ball speed, increased launch angle, and additional carry distance.
The Speedline Fast 12 LS driver’s standard shaft will be the Tour spec Fubuki Alpha with MD Technology, which is designed for the player who wants a more stable, lower spinning shaft. Loft options are 8.5°, 9.5° and 10.5° in right-handed, 9.5° and 10.5° for left-handed. The Speedline Fast 12 LS Driver will be available in stores from March 1 at a suggested retail price (MRRP) of £349. For further information visit www.adamsgolf.com.
