Golfers booking car hire through ArgusCarHire.com - for the destinations operated by ClubstoHire.com - will now be offered the opportunity to book golf clubs as well.

Paul McGinley's fellow ClubstoHire director, Tony Judge, explained: "The booking engine technology behind ArgusCarHire.com is not just for car-rental businesses; it's an ancillary revenue stream for the entire travel industry and it affords us an outstanding opportunity to expand our existing customer base.

Dublin-based ArgusCarHire.com connects customers with more than 550 car rental brands at 30,000 locations in 171 different countries, utilising booking engine technology developed by CarTrawler. The system enables partners to sell car rental in addition to their core product or as a stand-alone service. ClubstoHire's impending launch in Lisbon and the Isle of Man will take the number of outlets up to nine - the others being at Antalya, Alicante, Murcia, Dublin, Malaga, Edinburgh and Faro - and consistent outstanding performance through 2011 and into early 2012 has convinced Judge and his fellow directors to continue the policy of expansion.

Further outlets will open in Gran Canaria and Tenerife in the next few weeks with US-based stores likely to follow before the end of the year.
