Galvin Green 'gear up' for Autumn/Winter

September 2, 2014

Galvin Green, the brand that pioneered multi-layering in golf clothing more than a decade ago, has launched a stunning Autumn/Winter collection that boasts almost 100 stylish high-performance garments and accessories in a range of exciting colour combinations and extensive size options.

Promoted under the tagline ‘Gear Up to push your limits’, the market-leading brand’s latest range – tested in the most extreme weather conditions – introduces new garments to each of its four distinct clothing layers. New designs are available across the latest Shell (GORE-TEX®), Warm (INSULATM), Cool (VENTIL8TM) and Base (SKINTIGHTTM) layers that are designed to function together to cope with varying weather conditions.

New eye-catching Deep Ocean (men’s) and Raspberry (ladies’) colourways also feature throughout, adding more style for serious golfers looking to perform at their best and feel comfortable on the course all year round.

The 2014/15 men’s range incorporates a total of 42 different jackets, pullovers, body warmers, sweaters, shirts, trousers and shorts – and is headlined by the top-end Apex GORE-TEX® jacket (RRP £349; sizes S-4XL) with innovative stretch fabric inserts. The stylish August GORE-TEX® Paclite® trousers (RRP £249) continue and are available in Black, Gunmetal, Midnight blue and Electric red colours, allowing golfers to combine perfectly with any waterproof jacket. There is also a new short-sleeved GORE-TEX® Paclite® option in the form of the Al jacket (RRP £199; sizes S-4XL), which offers lightweight protection against the heaviest of downpours.

Another standout garment from the men’s line is the new Banks WINDSTOPPER® half-zip jacket (RRP £179; sizes 3-XL). Now commonly seen by serious golfers as the ultimate top to wear in most playing conditions throughout the year, the WINDSTOPPER® is made from a combination of an ultra-thin, totally windproof protective layer laminated onto a lightweight textile for complete protection against wind chill.

Other eye-catching newcomers in the collection include two INSULATM pullovers – the full-zip Duke (RRP £119; sizes S-3XL) and half-zip Daniel (RRP £109; sizes S-3XL) – designed to keep golfers warm during chilly conditions thanks to a fabric technology that insulates body heat and releases excess moisture. The lightweight VENTIL8TM range adds a new Mannix body-mapping shirt (RRP £99; S-3XL) and the smart-looking Neason stretch trousers (RRP £129), which sit alongside the increasingly-popular Ned slacks.

A spectacular ladies’ range is headed up by the new Adele GORE-TEX® jacket (RRP £299; sizes XS-XL), resplendent in a Raspberry/White/Platinum combination, as well as two other colour options. A classy Belinda WINDSTOPPER® body warmer (RRP £169; sizes XS-XL) and Day INSULATM pullover (RRP £99; sizes XS-XL) have also been introduced for 2014/15.

Brand new base layer tops for men (Eric, RRP £59; sizes XS-XXL) and women (Emily, RRP £59, sizes XS-XL) join Galvin Green’s SKINTIGHT ThermalTM range. Offering a less tight-fitting design than the brand’s Compression base layers, the Thermal garments are specially developed for optimum warmth while playing in the coldest of weather conditions.
