Footjoy's new collections

Leading innovators FootJoy extend outerwear offering for 2009 with all new Tour Collection, Performance, Sport and Women's lines

FootJoy continues to establish itself as a major player in the Outerwear market. With the mission to 'Make Every Day Playable', 2009 sees the introduction of the most innovative and complete collection it has ever produced. The 2009 collection demonstrates the company's superior knowledge of waterproof technology, comfort maximisation and unmistakeable style. FootJoy is a substantial player in the US Outerwear market and has continued to extend its Outerwear product offering in Europe in recent years to specifically meet the performance needs and style preferences of the European golfer.

The FootJoy Outerwear line-up has been further refined and is proving extremely popular with FootJoy's retail partners during the pre-book period. This year sees a development in the product lines from FootJoy: the DryJoys 'Tour Collection', the 'Performance' Line, the 'Sport' Line and the Women's Line making up this year's product offerings. Each line offers the discerning golfer, stylish, functional outerwear that keeps the elements at bay and makes everyday playable.

'We are delighted with the new 2009 range. The product development and design teams have listened closely as to what the consumer demands have been and what retail partners desire. This year's collection delivers across the spectrum of outerwear demands and we are confident will be a huge success for us and will see us further establish ourselves as a major force in the European Outerwear market.' commented FootJoy's European Sales and Marketing Director, Mike Lucas.

The DryJoys Tour Collection sits proudly at the head of the FootJoy Outerwear family, the most technically advanced in FootJoy's decorated history. The ultimate in Tour proven waterproof and breathable fabric technology features a new DWR surface finish which encourages any moisture to easily bead off the surface of the garment. The range promotes ease of movement, allowing golfers to swing freely regardless of the weather conditions and is proving to be popular with retailers looking to offer a premium positioned product.

The 'Performance' range encompasses a wide variety of multi weather garments that include rain jackets, short sleeve piques and wind vests. The collection features the proven Lightweight Sta-Dry Extreme? shell fabric, that is 100% waterproof and breathable. This next-generation fabric technology Lightweight Sta-Dry Extreme? keeps the player bone-dry while remaining completely breathable and quiet throughout the golf swing. With a tailored cut and fit it has proven popular so far with accounts seeking fashion orientated outerwear.

The 'Sport' range is aimed at the more athletic golfer, offering a continental silhouette, cut and fit for the golfer looking to feel and look their best on the fairways. Also featuring the Lightweight Sta-Dry Extreme? system for reduced weight but with watertight performance, the Sport range is visually the most striking collection FootJoy has ever produced. The combination of a soft finish, waterproof laminated microfibre shell, and a lightweight polyester lining makes for one of the lightest and easiest to wear garments ever produced. Adding to the impressive line up, the Sport is being viewed as a great addition to retailers' product portfolios.

Protecting the golfer from head to toe has long been the underlying theme of the FootJoy family of products. Making Every Day Playable through technologically advanced design, the FootJoy Outerwear Collections offers superior comfort, movement, performance and breathability to enhance the enjoyment of the game while being protected from the rain, cold, wind, and heat.
