Glenmuir updates 1891 Collection

Glenmuir, one of Europe’s leading golf apparel brands, has updated its Men’s 1891 Collection for Autumn/Winter 09 with the introduction of several new products and the unveiling of a new colour palette.

At the helm of the Scottish-based company’s collection are four double mercerised new polo shirts which sit alongside Pima and Supima cotton knitwear and Merino, Lamora and Scottish Cashmere knitwear.

The luxury shirts in Glenmuir’s top-of-the-range Men’s 1891 Collection are synonymous with quality and the new Formby, Grove, Tralee and Hillside feature a lustrous, hard-wearing mercerised 2/70s fine cotton.

The mini jacquard Formby polo features a ribbed, anti-curl collar in a contrast colour, three-button placket and is available in light grey/black, ink/navy and winter white/tan colours. With a textured self-colour stripe, the long sleeved Grove comes in a choice of black, ice blue or winter white.

Contemporary narrow stripes play a key role in the design of Glenmuir’s Autumn/Winter ’09 collection and this is evident with the Tralee and Hillside polos.

The Tralee is available in three base colours, each with two contrasting horizontal colour stripes, in black/light grey/winter white; ink/ice/white and fire/tan/white. Meanwhile, the Hillside is available in three,
two-colour options – black/winter white, white/ink and winter white/tan.

Glenmuir has introduced three carefully-selected new contemporary colour palettes for the season – ‘Blue Tones’ (four classic shades of blue from the deepest navy to cool ice), ‘Black Jack’ (linen, greys and a deep Garnet red) and ‘Autumn Fire’ (subtle earth colours and a vibrant Fire red) – which feature across its entire range.

All Glenmuir’s Men’s 1891 Collection products are available is sizes S-XXL.

Glenmuir’s flagship collection has been comprehensively updated to incorporate the company’s new Autumn/Winter ’09 colour palettes.

In the luxury shirts range, the hugely popular yarn-dyed feeder stripe Dublin features a new fire/winter white model in an overall range of nine great colours while the solid colour Howth adds a new tan version to a 13-strong range.

In the wonderfully warm, soft and washable 100 percent heavyweight fine merino wool range, the zip-neck Pinehurst is now available in three colour combinations -new tan/espresso and black/charcoal alongside the popular ink/azure.

For golfers looking for extra warmth on cool autumn days, the contemporary Dukes textured intarsia V-neck in the Pima Luxury Cotton range welcomes new fire and black versions.

And in the Supima products - manufactured from super-soft, luxurious 100 per cent Supima cotton - the zip-neck Machrie is now available in a new tan colour.
