Mauritius victory for Emerald Heights

"The very best possible result," exclaimed Lord Stephen Aldridge, Chief Executive of Emerald Heights www.emeraldheightsmauritius.com , at the end of a four-day sales and marketing creativity marathon on the beautiful Indian Ocean island of Mauritius last week.

Thirty members attended the conference from the international and local marketing teams responsible for the Emerald Heights lifestyle development now under construction in the Mont Blanc Valley of southern Mauritius .

Aldridge set a heavy agenda ranging from detailed examination of the property designs and specifications to the expansion of the global marketing initiative incorporating India , China , Russia and the Middle East to augment the already successful campaigns running in Europe and South Africa .

Events included presentations from Gibbs (Mauritius) Ltd., (formerly Sir Alexander Gibb & Partners), the main architectural, engineering and project management practice driving this project; Helm Godfrey, the Guernsey based fund manager who provide tax efficient purchase routes for property investment buyers at the Emerald Heights project, and meetings with MPTA, the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority. Invitations were also made to Raju Jaddoo, Managing Director of Board of Investment; Hon Rama Sithanen, Vice Prime Minister; Kailash Ruhee, the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff and Radhakrishansingh Rajkoomar, President of Grand Port S District Council which is twinned with Spelthorne in the UK.

Delegates thoroughly indulged themselves on the gastronomic delights of Mauritian hospitality, took advantage of the glorious climate and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the multi-ethnic population and culture.

In-depth examination of the market took place comparing specifications, competitive pricing, development activities and current prospect delivery. A typical Emerald Heights initiative enabled on-site reviews of competitor developments - a useful hands-on experience for both local and overseas sales team members.

Joining the Emerald Heights team were representatives from Erna Low Property and Savills who look after the international sales; Jackie Biggin Media who has developed the Emerald Heights brand, delivered marketing tools and global advertising, and Financial Dynamics PR from South Africa . Mason Forbes, the Mauritian property sales agency retained locally by Emerald Heights , has made a major impact on sales locally and is now established with an active and successful reputation on the Island .

"Emerald Heights has in just six months moved from a concept on the desk to a fully branded product, with show house almost completed, and infrastructure under construction," reported Aldridge. "The teams have worked miracles in the time and I wanted to bond them together as a contiguous, single world-class team. This strength will guarantee our continued success in this challenging worldwide market - it was a great gathering and we covered twice as much ground as I expected. We will do it again."
