Grassing of UAE's first beach-front golf course completed

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, the Arab world’s first seaside golf course, is now fully grassed and will be ready to welcome the public by the end of 2009. This 72-par signature golf course, designed by golfing legend Gary Player, lies in the heart of the Saadiyat Beach District.

“The completion of the golf course’s grassing is a major milestone for us. The course is on track to open by the end of the year and will offer one of the most unique golfing experiences in this part of the world,” commented DJ Flanders, General Manager of Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.

Saadiyat Island, which lies 700 metres offshore the UAE capital, is Tourism Development & Investment Company’s (TDIC) flagship development project.
