Lee-Anne Pace signs with Cobra-Puma Golf
Winner of the 2010 season Ladies European Tour ‘Order of Merit’, Lee-Anne joins a growing roster of young professional golfers, teaming up with the ranks of Lexi Thompson, Anna Nordqvist, Johan Edfors, Jeehae Lee and others, all who have signed to play Cobra clubs and PUMA Golf apparel and footwear. “We are excited to announce Lee-Anne Pace to our growing roster of professional golfers,” commented Bob Philion, President, COBRA-PUMA Golf. “Lee-Anne is a driven competitor with a fearless and fun style, making her a perfect ambassador for both the Cobra and PUMA brands.”
“I am thrilled to join the COBRA-PUMA Golf family,” said Pace. “I love PUMA’s fun, colorful looks that stand out on the green and I have full confidence in my full bag of Cobra clubs. It’s an exciting time and I’m ready to hit the course with my new look and equipment.” Following an illustrious amateur career both in the US and at home in her native South Africa, Lee-Anne turned professional in 2005 and play on the Duramed Futures Tour in 2006 before qualifying for the LPGA Tour for 2007. In 2009, Lee-Anne recorded four top ten finishes on the Ladies European Tour, and made her real breakthrough in 2010 with five wins including the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open, the S4C Wales Ladies Championship of Europe, the Finnair Masters, the Sanya Ladies Open and the Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open. These five victories along with a string of top 10 finishes led Lee-Anne to become the first South African to top the women's money list.
