COBRA boosts distance stakes with new Baffler XL range
by Carly Frost
November 08, 2013

As far as game improvement equipment brands go Cobra is one of the leaders in the easy-to-use category. Thanks to an extensive new line of ladies golf clubs for 2014, you can now get even more enjoyment out of your golf without having to put in any extra effort!

It's exactly 40 years since the first Cobra Baffler wood was unveiled and the iconic name has been synonymous with great forgiveness and ease of use ever since. Four decades on the new Cobra Baffler XL range is so-called for its 'Extra Long' capabilities. So if you want to hit your shots long and straight then you should seriously try them out.

The line-up includes a new Baffler XL driver, fairways, hybrids, combo set and irons. The underlining theme for all the clubs is distance although the design is such that each club has the added benefit of being ultra-forgiving thanks to a clever offset design to help correct your slices. Pronounced rails on the fairways, hybrids and irons make them easy to get airborne and all are designed for incredible forgiveness.

The signature club in the new range is the Baffler XL driver which features Cobra's largest face design ever (17% bigger than the AMP Cell, Cobra's predecessor) which enhances the 'trampoline effect' off the face to give you more distance with greater accuracy, ensuring more confidence off the tee. The offset design will help to correct your slice, make the club more stable and therefore your results on off-centre hits more forgiving.

Every club in the range is designed in Purple Pearl with Dahlia Purple accents. Recommended retail prices are: Cobra Baffler XL Driver (£199), Baffler XL Fairway (£149), Baffler XL Hybrid (£129), Baffler XL Combo Set (£549 steel/£599 graphite)
