Honma Beres E-01 "It's Excellent!"
Info: www.honma.co.uk
Loft options : 10.5, 11.5 & 13 degree

They say: The E-01 for ladies is made to be lightweight and easy for max distance. It has a design that picks up the ball easily and increases carry distance. The wide-and-shallow head shape makes setup easy and ensures greater confidence. The deep-and-low center of gravity design efficiently hugs the ball and generates a dynamic high trajectory. The larger center of gravity angle more efficiently allows clean contact with the ball and prevents slicing. The area-specific thick construction design at the forged face reduces the weight of the club, adding strength and longer carry.

Carly's verdict: The 'E' in the title of Honma's new ladies Beres E-01 driver stands for 'Excellence' and it is a very fitting description because everything about this driver oozes excellence. This Japanese manufacturer is renowned for the quality of its components, a feature reflected in the very high prices of its golf products, but in the Beres E-01's case it is money well spent. From the moment I cast my eye on the E-01 there was instant attraction to the pretty pink and silver styling of the headcover. But peal that off and you'll discover a very classy looking club finished in a sparkly dark aubergine that sits beautifully behind the ball. The clubhead is big but shaped in such a way that you don't feel as though it is cumbersome and swing weighted perfectly so that it free-flows through the air. The subtle small weight screw in the back of the head does exactly what it is designed to do and helps you hit shots up into the air effortlessly. The impact sound is very pleasing and you can see the results in the pleasing carry and run-out distance. If you're looking for that stand-out 'wow' factor driver that no other lady has on the first tee then you'll turn a few heads with the Honma!
