The popular Titleist Pro V1 golf ball gets a pink twist!
by Carly Frost
May 31, 2013

I've long been a believer in Titleist's golf ball philosophy that there is no such thing as a 'ladies' golf ball. I for one have always played a ball that traditionally would be seen or classified as most suitable for the lower handicapper male golfer, such as the Titleist Pro V1 - the ball that the majority of Titleist Tour players use. A theory that is simply not true and proven by the fact that my Mum, a 14 handicapper equally loves the soft feel and spin control she gets from this ball, yet she insists on buying golf balls that are clearly labelled 'for ladies' with pink covers, a sparkly finish or the like.

So I'm delighted to see that Titleist has taken the bull by the horns and actually produced a Pro V1 golf ball that has a pink side-stamp and number embossed on it. And yes it even comes in a lady-friendly pink-and-white box so you can't miss it.

The performance of the Pink Pro V1 golf ball is exactly the same as the one stamped with black lettering and the price is the same (£51 a dozen). It's designed to deliver exceptional distance for golfers with all swing speeds and skill levels - not just the better player. It gives a very soft feel on all shots tee-to-green and longer lasting durability. The Pro V1 is known for offering the infamous 'drop-and-stop' shot game control that we all crave.

The bad news? The pink version is a Limited Edition, which means it's only available for a short period of time, so if I were you ladies I'd get stockpiling them now!
