Wilson's 'Rocker Sole' technology provides the ultimate distance gapping solution

If you have been reluctant to replace your long irons with hybrids or fairway woods then the new Wilson Staff FYbrid RS might just change your mind.

There are six different fairway woods and hybrids in one range designed to simplify the game and offer you very consistent distance gapping between your clubs. That means you can now replace your irons (3, 4 or 5-iron) directly with a hybrid of your choice and know that the distance you hit your new FYbrid will be spot-on.

With most sets of irons now being offered from sand wedge to 5-iron, the 1-to-1 iron-replacement FYbrids ensure that golfers can effectively keep the 3 and 4-irons in the bag and use them for the more challenging approach shots or tight driving holes.

So what makes the new FYbrid RS so special? There are three key technologies that make it easier to use.

The first is the RS 'Rocker Sole' - a rounded sole that creates an even symmetry at address, thereby helping you find the sweetspot in the centre of the club. Through removing material near the toe and hosel, the clubs deliver maximum flexibility in a variety of lies, as well as creating minimal turf interaction on uneven surfaces.

A Low and Deep Centre of Gravity is created thanks to a deeper head and flat crown, which help to get the ball airborne and inspire confidence. A dual rail in the sole also provides cleaner turf interaction and moves the CG lower and deeper in the head to allow for a crisper contact and stronger ball flight.

Finally, Three-Zone Face Technology increases the spring area in the heel and toe of the club face, which optimises the sweet spot for even greater accuracy.

Each club in the FYbrid RS range comes fitted with a specific UST/Mamiya® Proforce VTS shaft, which has been modeled on the size, centre of gravity and MOI of the clubheads to maximise rotational force and subsequently increase distance.

Available in right-handed options from October 2011, the Women's Wilson Staff FYbrid RS range is made up of a 3-wood (17 ° ), 5W (20 °), FY (21.5°), 3-hybrid (23°), 4h (26°) and 5h (29°) - with each club carrying a RRP of £109.
