New tastes for golfers at Fairmont St Andrews
August 4, 2010

Golfers will be able to taste the difference at Fairmont St Andrews with new head chef Scott Swift set to make his mark on the Clubhouse restaurant.

Swift has an impressive pedigree - particularly so for a man focusing on catering for the resort's golfers - having previously worked at Turnberry and Carnoustie and he is already planning a new seafood menu for visitors to enjoy.

Fairmont St Andrews has also appointed David Andrews as executive chef. He joins the resort from Mexican sister-hotel Fairmont Mayakoba, bringing 19 years of culinary and leadership experience to his new role, having worked at prestigious hotels across the world including in Austria , California and Bermuda .

The five-star Fairmont St Andrews resort offers a variety of first-class dining options, including the sumptuous Esperante fine-dining restaurant, and prides itself on using the finest, locally sourced ingredients.
