Busy schedule at IGTM 2010
October 8, 2010

The International Golf Travel Market (IGTM), the world's premier global event for golf tourism suppliers, buyers and media, has today announced details of its four day programme.

The event tees off on Monday November 15 with the IGTM Golf Tournament followed by a Welcome Reception hosted by Comunitat Valenciana, this year's host region, at 'The City of Arts and Sciences'.

Scheduled appointments, briefings and networking events are top of the agenda at the Feria Valencia Convention and Exhibition Centre in Valencia, on Spain's east coast, from November 15-18, 2010, with more than 500 golf tourism suppliers, 300 pre-qualified buyers and 100 international press expected to attend.

"The scheduled appointment system, at which buyers and suppliers meet and do business, is the key business feature of IGTM," said Mark Walsh, Group Exhibition Director of Reed Travel Exhibitions. "There are also plenty of opportunities, both formal and informal, for networking and business development. Given the high level of interest from buyers to date, we hope that this edition of IGTM will help sustain high levels of activity within the international golf travel industry especially during such challenging economic conditions."

Partners IAGTO and Reed Exhibitions will officially open IGTM 2010 on Tuesday November 16 at the Feria Valencia Convention and Exhibition Centre, where it is expected that more than 350 meetings between pre-qualified buyers and golf tour operators will take place during the four days.

"The very strong attendance at this year's show indicates that in this challenging economic environment, IGTM 2010 in Valencia will prove to be highly beneficial for the international golf travel market yet in reaching positive solutions for the way forward," continued Mark Walsh.

IGTM will end with the Valencia Gala Dinner and IAGTO Virgin Atlantic Awards on Thursday November 18.

There are also opportunities to view Valencia's exquisite coastline and sample Spain's most famous dish - paella - as well as visit some of the city's famous galleries containing works by El Greco, Goya and Velázquez, that have firmly established Valencia on the European art circuit.
