IOG SALTEX visitors on spending spree
November 16, 2010

Groundscare and open space professionals throughout the country who visited this year's IOG SALTEX exhibition could spend more than a staggering £2 billion over the coming year as a result of attending the annual Windsor exhibition.

The initial findings from independent research carried out at the three-day show - the UK's leading open space exhibition - also revealed that a high percentage of this year's visitors (77 per cent) are responsible or could influence purchasing decisions - compared to 69 per cent of visitors in 2009.

The research also revealed that 74 per cent of visitors said the show influenced their purchasing decisions or allowed them to find a new supplier that they would not have otherwise considered using.

Commenting on the findings, IOG SALTEX Sales Director Clare Johnson says: "We are delighted that the initial analysis confirms the anecdotal evidence from this year's exhibitors that the audience quality and buying power were excellent.

"This research has clearly given IOG SALTEX 2011 a tremendous boost, as is being reflected by the extremely high level of stand re-bookings (currently approaching 80 per cent of space) as well as confirmation from companies such as John Deere, Hayter, Kubota, Ransomes Jacobsen and Toro that they will also be returning in 2011."

IOG SALTEX 2011 will be held on September 6-8 at Windsor Racecourse, Berks, and will embrace fine turf and sports surfaces, turf maintenance equipment, children's outdoor play and safety surfacing, landscaping, contractors, commercial vehicles, outdoor leisure and facilities management, as well as software and security equipment.  The show is attended by open space management professionals and contractors - from groundsmen and greenkeepers through to play officers, architects, designers and surveyors as well as local authority and outdoor leisure facility managers.
