Praise for IOG Saltex 2010
December 23, 2010

On the back of "selling machines and dealing with almost 100 enquiries from high-quality visitors " at IOG SALTEX 2010, it is no surprise that David Jenkins, Managing Director of DJ Turfcare, says he "looks forward to the Windsor show every year".

DJ Turfcare, www.djturfcare.co.uk , provides a range of niche products to golf, sports and amenity managers to help them achieve high levels of turf presentation, "I value IOG SALTEX very highly," says David.  "It is held at a significant time of the year and is a very important event for the sports and amenity industry.

"IOG SALTEX in September has a very wide remit for grounds managers. There is an extensive range of exhibitors, including those offering play equipment, nursery stock and heavy digging gear - with a demonstration area for all types of machinery, from chainsaws to trenchers.

"Companies like mine need exhibitions.  They are our lifeblood. We have to be seen constantly by potential customers... and the contacts made at shows are vital for survival."

He adds: "Nobody has to exhibit or attend any show.  While I appreciate that the expense can be significant, we as exhibitors have to evaluate that cost against the value of orders taken at the show or as importantly, by staying 'in front' of existing and new customers and contacts."

IOG SALTEX 2011 will be held on September 6-8 at Windsor Racecourse, Berks, and will embrace fine turf and sports surfaces, turf maintenance equipment, children's outdoor play and safety surfacing, landscaping, contractors, commercial vehicles, outdoor leisure and facilities management, as well as software and security equipment.  The show is attended by open space management professionals and contractors - from groundsmen and greenkeepers through to play officers, architects, designers and surveyors as well as local authority and outdoor leisure facility managers.
