Robert Karlsson returns to world top 20

Robert Karlsson won the Commercialbank Qatar Masters presented by Dolphin Energy by three strokes from defending champion Alvaro Quiros. Karlsson missed the middle of the 2009 season with an eye injury but this win puts him on track for a third successive Ryder Cup appearance. Victory in Doha has also taken Karlsson back into the world top 20 with a rise of 14 positions to world number 17.

Ben Crane closed with a 2-under 70 for a one-shot victory in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Crane parred the final hole to win by a stroke from Michael Sim, Brandt Snedeker and Marc Leishman. The win takes Crane to 56th in the Official World Golf Ranking, a jump of 53 positions.

American Robert Gates claimed the Australasian Tour co-sanctioned 2010 Michael Hill New Zealand Open by one shot from Australian Andrew Dodt today and becomes the 13th player in Nationwide Tour history to be victorious in his first event. Gates jumps to world number 366.
