Play golf with the Red Arrows
August 18, 2010

Play a round of golf with the RAF Red Arrows & the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) to support a charity that really does change lives – this is the message to amateur golfers who can meet the RAF teams at a special golf day at the Kendleshire Golf Club near Bristol on September 28th 2010.

The world famous Red Arrows & the BBMF are ready to play golf with anyone who wants to try their skill against the superb co-ordination of the RAF's world class aerobatic display teams.

As a nominated charity of the RAF Red Arrows & the BBMF, the day is to raise funds exclusively for fly2help – the Gloucestershire based charity that supports people facing life-limiting illness, tragedy or life trauma. Both teams have donated their time & resources to offer all-comers the chance to play golf with them so that those in need can benefit from the gift of flight.

Golfers can opt to create an exclusive team of three players with the addition of a Red Arrow or BBMF team member, or they can choose to support individual or a pair of places towards another team. There are also sponsorship opportunities for the longest drive, nearest pin, or hole sponsorship. Teams must book their games in advance – application form can be downloaded from

Mandy Pantall, Marketing & Fundraising Director of fly2help, says: “For the second year running, the Red Arrows & BBMF are supporting our charity with an exclusive event that is open to amateur golfers - we are honoured to be in such a position & most grateful for their support. To be able to offer places out for a round of golf with these teams is a rare chance for anyone, & entrants can also enjoy the added bonus of supporting fly2help in its work with some very brave & special people.”

After playing golf, players will have the opportunity to socialise with the Red Arrows & BBMF over an early-evening two-course dinner, raffle & prize giving.

Also present will be Mandy Shepherd, aviation artist & Patron of fly2help. Mandy has kindly painted a special one-off picture to help raise funds at this event.
