Bunker Events swings in to action for Comic Relief
March 18, 2011
The Bunker Golf Simulator Tour tee’d off last Saturday on 12th
March as part of the Paddy Power
Imperial Cup event at Sandown Park. The Tour is in aid of Comic Relief, helping the charity to
achieve their mission "to drive positive change through the power of entertainment". Race goers
were offered the opportunity to make a small donation to Comic Relief in return for playing a
nearest-the-pin competition on The Bunker’s state of the art golfing simulator.
David Mackinnon, Managing Director for Sandown Park said, "Paddy Power Imperial Cup Day was a
day of great entertainment with The Comic Relief golf simulator, a mechanical hobby horse race
being staged, the Rehabilitation of Racehorses parade and the big race of the day. It’s was a great
fun day out with all that was going on."
The Bunker golf simulator is available throughout the UK from Newcastle based company Bunker
Events, who will be continuing their tour by visiting Market Rasen on the 13th
March and then onto
Ripon and Newcastle racecourses over the next few weeks. The state of the art simulator provides
an interactive experience that is very popular with audiences at any indoor or outdoor event. It
uses unique advanced 3D technology to provide participants with a virtual golfing experience that is
as close as you can get to playing golf without actually walking the fairways. The simulator adds real
value to the total event experience for everyone, regardless of their ability or talent.
The system can be transported and assembled on practically any surface and can be branded
according to event or client requirements.
