Golf News bags record month
May 12, 2011 - the company that offers travellers a massive saving on airline golf-bag charges to European golfing hotspots - has smashed its previous monthly rentals with a record performance in April.

April bookings across its three stores in Faro, Malaga and Dublin rose to almost 2,000 sets - saving savvy golfers an estimated total of £50,000 in airline baggage charges. is backed by former Ryder Cup star Paul McGinley and judging by the surge in demand, the penny is starting to drop with European golfers who realise that not only can they avoid hefty airline baggage charges and the hassle of travelling with clubs, but they can also try out some of the latest golfing equipment on the market - including golf's most talked-about new driver: the TaylorMade R11.

One of McGinley's partners in the venture, fellow Irishman Tony Judge, explained: "The demand for Faro has been exceptional but we have also seen considerable business for both Malaga and Dublin.

"Our new range of equipment, combined with our slick service and value pricing has led to plenty of new business from across Europe as well a healthy number of repeat bookings from golfers who were impressed with the experience on their initial visit.

"Forward bookings are strong and it is all systems go for what promises to be a very busy season."
