Dartmouth hosting first night golf event
February 18, 2011

South Devon's stargazers may spot a few unidentified flying objects next week when Dartmouth Golf & Country Club holds its first night golf event.

Players will be teeing up with luminous balls while the fairways and greens will be marked with glowsticks as the event gets underway at 6pm on Saturday, February 26.

Competitors will play a minimum nine holes of golf followed by a meal, and if the event proves popular, the course could stay open all night.

Entry to the unique event costs just £17.95 including a one-course meal. Those wishing to make combine the experience with a golf break can enjoy two-nights' accommodation, three rounds of golf, a two-course meal and the evening of night golf for just £135 per person. Package is based on two people sharing a room from February 25-27 and includes breakfast and free use of the resort's leisure club.

Dartmouth Golf & Country Club is located just four miles from the historic town of Dartmouth and is the ideal base from which to explore the delights of south Devon, with Dartmoor, the River Dart, fantastic beaches and a host of picturesque towns and villages nearby.

It is an ideal base for a UK off-season golf break as it benefits from a mild winter, meaning no temporary greens or tees in play. Guests also receive complimentary use of the leisure facilities, which include an indoor pool, Jacuzzi and sauna.
