Continental treble for David Edwards
March 31, 2011

Three continents in three weeks will experience golf trick shot mastery at its finest next month when world record holder David Edwards takes his extraordinary show on the road.

David's round the world odyssey begins in the Moroccan city of Agadir which will make European golf history when it hosts both the European Tour and the Ladies European Tour in the same week from March 31 to April 3. David has been invited to appear before the Moroccan royal family and the public at the long-established Trophée Hassan II where the world´s top golfers will compete for a prize fund of 1,500,000 Euros.

From the heat of Morocco David will move north to Scotland where from April 8 to 10 to perform at the Scottish Golf Show in Glasgow for the sixth year in succession. The Scottish Golf Show has a special place in David´s heart as that is where he set the world record last year for hitting 312 golf balls in just three minutes. David will open the season in style during the Masters weekend with his special brand of trick shot skills.

From Glasgow David heads for the Orient and will entertain the galleries at the Volvo China Open at Luxhills International Country Club in Chengdu, China from April 21 to 24. It will be David´s fifth year at this event.

"Bringing the show back to China is always special," said David. "Golf is such a fast growing sport there and that will only increase now that it has been included in the Olympic Games. I am sure that Chinese players will make a huge impact on world´s golf scene in the near future and I always imagine that there might be a future Open Champion somewhere in my audience. I truly enjoy showing them the fun aspect of the game and inspiring them to take up the sport by putting on an exciting performance."

David is renowned for his trademark "scissor shots" as well as the range of quirky clubs he uses in his show which includes clubs with a shaft made of a hose pipe, a cricket bat, a fishing rod and one where the driver head is fitted at the end of a golf umbrella.
