Monte Rei to throw Gastronomic Week at Wentworth

This October will see Monte Rei Golf & Country Club's Head Chef Jaime Perez move to Wentworth Club in Surrey to host a one off gastronomic week for Wentworth members. A protégé of Ferrán Adrià, and formerly a leading chef in Adrià´s renowned 3-Michelin star "El Bulli" restaurant, Perez will bring the flavours of the Portugal country clubs' renowned Vistas restaurants to the UK between the 25rd - 30th October.

Perez and his team will mark the launch of the week with a gala dinner at the Club on the 25 th October, targeting attendance of around  100 Wentworth members and guests From the 26 th October, Wentworth members will then be able to enjoy lunch and dinner a la carte, together with a degustation menu accompanied by a list of fine Portuguese wines, throughout the rest of the week in The Wentworth Grill. To close the event, Perez and his team will prepare a brunch on Sunday.

The Monte Rei visit marks the latest in a succession of food promotions which have been held at Wentworth  in recent years. Previous partners include world famous properties such as The Cipriani in Venice, The Eden in Rome, Reid's Palace in Madeira and, more recently, from their sister restaurants in the Caprice Holdings Group, The Ivy, Scott's and Daphne's restaurant.

Famed for its Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the first of its kind in the Algarve, Monte Rei is rapidly gaining recognition around the world as a premier golf and family destination and, since its opening four years ago, has been ranked as the number one golf course in Portugal by Golf Monthly.
