Golf Business Community reaches 15000 members

The Golf Business Community ( has confirmed its ever-growing influence within the sport’s industry by hitting a significant milestone since its launch in March 2010.

The online platform, focused on the golf course, resort and residential development business, has attracted 15,000 members from 170 countries since its inception, resulting in thousands of visits to the website from all over the world every week. Members of the Golf Business Community cover the entire spectrum of the golf industry globally, from golf course operators through real estate developers to course suppliers and representatives of golf bodies.

The growing importance of the GBC has also been recognized by 20 of golf’s leading businesses who have joined forces with KPMG, the founder of this initiative. Patrons and sponsors of the online community include Ernie Els Design, Greg Norman Golf Course Design, Harradine Golf, Faldo Design, Syngenta and Troon Golf, among others.

Following in the footsteps of KPMG’s annual Golf Business Forum, the website has become a premium source of market intelligence and thought leadership, featuring video interviews with some of the most influential developers in global golf, as well as expert analysis and industry research, which is free to download.
