Discover golf weekend in Staffordshire
September 29, 2011

Would be golfers in Staffordshire are being urged to join in the party - and take the chance to give the sport a try.

The Golf Academy is celebrating its first birthday in October and is offering a wide range of free opportunities to give golf a go as part of its celebrations.

Says Academy professional Craig Thomas: "We want to show that learning to play golf is fun, affordable, open to all, good for your health, rewarding, sociable and easy. Whether people are new to the game or a golfer looking to improve their game our birthday weekend has something for you and your family."

Says Sean Hammill, county development officer for the Staffordshire Golf Partnership: "Congratulation to The Golf Academy on a successful first year. The birthday weekend offers a great opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to give golf a try - and all for free.
