Top coach Mike Hebron joins The Golf Show line up
June 30, 2011

Highly acclaimed golf coach Mike Hebron has been announced as a guest speaker at The Golf Show - Europe's most influential golf trade show and educational event - to be held from October 25-27 at the Harrogate International Centre.

Hebron, a PGA of America Master Professional, is the co-founder of Neuro Learning for Golf - a brain-based approach for improving a pupil's golf game - and will be leading a seminar titled Modernising Learning and Teaching.

The author of five books and scores of magazine articles will pass on his wealth of knowledge of coaching techniques to PGA Professionals. His presentation will place the emphasis on how golfers learn the skills of the game.

David Colclough, PGA Head of Member Education, said: "Mike has studied the golf swing, the mind and, in particular, the subject of learning perhaps more than any other golf professional I know of. PGA Professionals will benefit enormously from listening to Mike's views on how to work with all levels of golfer as well as how to introduce people to the game."

Hebron has numerous awards to his name, including 12 PGA peer-elected awards, such as National PGA Teacher of the Year and National PGA Horton Smith Trophy. He was also elected to the Metropolitan PGA Hall of Fame in 2008.

"Mike is an experienced lecturer having led seminars all over the world, passing on his teaching techniques," added David Colclough. "He has planned and delivered at the PGA of America, PGAs of Europe and PGA of Canada's first Teaching Summits and has been invited to speak at some of the biggest universities in the States, such as Yale and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as on television chat shows.

"He is a must-see for any PGA Professional determined to become a better coach/teacher."

Mike Hebron's Modernising Learning and Teaching seminar will be held on Tuesday, October 25 at 12.30pm.

PGA Professionals wishing to attend the seminar should register as soon as possible as places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Delegates can now register for the show via the official website - www.golftradeshow.co.uk . Once registered delegates can review the timetable of seminars and request a place on those they would like to attend by emailing CPD@pga.org.uk , indicating full name, membership number, and course title and date. Delegates can only pre-register for one seminar per day and bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis. Further seminars may be booked upon arrival at the show subject to availability.
