Old Course Hotel hosts Alfred Dunhill Dining Club
June 28, 2011

The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa will once again offer decadent dining alongside the best view of golf in the world this year when it hosts The Dining Club during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship from September 29 to October 2.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Dining Club is the ultimate hospitality experience on offer to golf enthusiasts at one of golf's most popular and prestigious tournaments on The European Tour over the world's most famous golf course.

Given their position alongside the 17 th fairway of the Old Course, the Road Hole Restaurant and the Road Hole Bar provide the perfect place to be to take in all the golfing action.

Either of these spectacular vantage points, combined with a delicious dining experience, makes The Dining Club the ideal venue to entertain potential customers and loyal clients or reward hardworking members of staff.

The Road Hole Restaurant, rated 3AA rosettes, is a well-known, must-visit gourmet destination for food lovers with a bird's-eye view of the Old Course, the R&A Clubhouse, St Andrews and the sweeping coastal vistas of the West Sands thanks to its dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows which capture the picture-postcard views. Similarly the award-winning Road Hole Bar, adjacent to the Restaurant, provides panoramic views of the Old Course and beyond in a less formal setting.

"The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa is delighted to provide our VIP guests with the ultimate hospitality experience at The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Dining Club," comments Helen Parker, Resort Director of Sales at the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa.

"The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is one of the most prestigious and eagerly-anticipated tournaments on The European Tour and always boasts a field of top international golfers as well as a host of stars from the worlds of sport, entertainment and business making it an entertaining and unique sporting event to attend."

Whilst play takes place over the links of Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and the Old Course on the first three days of the tournament, the crucial last day is set solely over the Old Course making the Old Course Hotel the prime location from which to view the action.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship was won in 2010 by Germany's Martin Kaymer whilst amateurs that year included Jamie Redknapp, Chris Evans, Andy Garcia and Schalk Burger.

The hospitality experience includes:

- Morning coffee and tea with freshly-baked pastries

- 3-course lunch with fine wines

- Elegant table service

- Souvenir programme and daily draw sheet

- Priority seating in the grand stand overlooking the 18th green of the Old Course
