Official World Golf Ranking Board announce Ranking adjustments
July 25, 2011

At its recent meeting at The Open Championship, the Governing Board of the Official World Golf Ranking approved the following adjustments to the Ranking System effective from January 1 2012:

1. The 54-hole "Winter Series" events on the Sunshine Tour will now be included in the Ranking System at a new minimum category with 4 ranking points for first place (2nd 2.40, 3rd 1.60 and 4th 1.20). In addition the Board announced that the 72-hole "State Based and Regional Tournaments" on the PGA Tour of Australasia would also now be included in the Ranking System at the previous minimum category of 6 ranking points for first place along with any 72- hole Sunshine Tour "Winter Series" events.

2. "Limited Field" events (those events with less than 30 qualified players) will no longer receive "Home Rating Values" when Ranking Points are calculated as these special international fields are generally not aligned to "Home Tour" players. This measure will slightly reduce the value of the Ranking Points for these events.
